Driving Around
Driving around Malta and Gozo should not be a problem, although unlike most
European countries driving is on the left hand side. There is a speed limit of
80km/hr – 50mph on rural areas and 50kph - 30mph in urban areas.
Fuel
Service stations are open daily from 0700 to 1800 hrs. Afterwards,
pumps operate automatically to provide a 24hrs service. The fuel available
from all service stations is standard leaded, unleaded green or diesel.
From Malta To Gozo
Travelling between the two main islands of Malta and Gozo is very easy since
ferries are generally available every 45mins. The trip takes approximately
30mins and can be taken from Malta’s northernmost tip, Cirkewwa. During the
trip one can admire the small island of Comino with
its glorious Blue Lagoon, just visible through a narrow
entrance in the rocky coastline. There is a regular boat service to Comino from
Malta and Gozo operated between mid-March and mid-November.
